Welcome
Milan Puskar Health Right (Health Right) was founded in 1984 by a group of concerned citizens on the premise that:
"Every person has a right to health care regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay."
The clinic, originally named Morgantown Health Right, was renamed in 2003 to honor Milan ("Mike") Puskar, the co-founder of Mylan Pharmaceuticals, for his generous donations since Health Right's inception.
In response to an ever-growing need, the clinic has moved several times, occupying larger quarters each time.
In 2003, we moved to our own two-story building with ten exam rooms, two waiting rooms, a medication room, conference rooms, offices and storage areas.
Our Impact
The agency has a staff of 21 and a volunteer corps of more than 200. Health Right provides more than 28,000 patient encounters and dispenses millions of dollars worth of free medications to qualified patients every year.
Donations
We are supported, in part, by the United Way and various federal, state, and local grants. We still depend in large part on donations and in-kind gifts from individuals. Please see our Donors page for more information.
